Our Story
Passion Bottled
Buonodor didn't start in a lab — it started with a friendship. Watching a close friend work at a perfume shop, and later build his own scents from scratch, pulled me into a world of top notes, dry-downs, and the quiet chemistry that turns a simple blend into a signature scent. What began as curiosity turned into obsession, and eventually into Buonodor: an artisan fragrance house built from my home city of Leicester, where every bottle you smell is one I've personally formulated, tested, and refined myself.
I don't outsource the creative process. As an artisan perfumer, I choose every ingredient, name every scent, blend every batch by hand, and package each order myself before it ships to you — no factories, no ghostwritten formulas, just one person's hands on every bottle from Leicester to your door. My philosophy is simple: a great perfume shouldn't need a luxury price tag to feel luxurious. I chase compositions that are complex enough to be interesting but wearable enough for every day, and I obsess over longevity — a perfume that fades in an hour isn't one I'll put my name on. My goal with every bottle is to deliver noticeable staying power at a price that respects your wallet, not a designer markup.
Right now, Buonodor is still a passion project. Most of what I make goes to close friends and family who've become my honest (and sometimes brutally so) test panel. But I'm ready to take the next step — bringing these scents to a wider audience online and seeing whether what works in my small circle resonates on a bigger stage.
I also read every message that comes through the Contact Us box. Recent client feedback directly shapes what I formulate next — think of it as a two-way relationship rather than a one-way sale. For the next drop, I'll be incorporating suggestions from recent customers as a thank-you for helping me understand what you actually want in a scent. If you've got thoughts on notes, longevity, or packaging, that box isn't decorative — it's where the next bottle starts.
